Kirsters Baish| This past September 11th, Americans solemnly remembered back to the horrific events that unfolded 17 years ago. While the families and friends of the victims honored their lost loved ones, CNN’s Joe Scarborough decided to take the opportunity to bash President Donald Trump. While Scarborough’s behavior is reprehensible, it’s not all that surprising.
Scarborough actually had the nerve to claim that President Trump has done more damage to the country than the terrorists responsible for 9/11. Keep in mind that the terrorists who were responsible for 9/11 killed 3,000 Americans. Fox News’ Laura Ingraham wasn’t about to let Scarborough get away with making the thoughtless comment, however.
Ingraham had Thomas Von Essen, the FDNY Commissioner during the time of the 2001 9/11 attacks, on her show. And the two explained exactly why Scarborough’s comments were wrong. Not only that, but they tore him up.
Von Essen, a heroic Fire Department Chief, didn’t appreciate Scarborough’s comments about the President, and spoke out against the claim that Trump’s actions compare to the killing of 3,000 American citizens.
