PANIC: Sen Feinstein Now Wants To Seal FBI Investigation, Keep From Public, While Case Falls Apart

We have watched the mainstream media and the liberal left attack Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh from all angles for weeks now. It seems as though Democrats decided Kavanaugh was guilty before even hearing both sides of the story. Clearly the entire thing seemed to be an orchestrated attempt on the part of Senate Democrats to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the highest court in our country. And Senator Dianne Feinstein seems to be at the center of the whole thing.

Before these allegations, Kavanaugh had a spotless record. Coincidence? Not likely.

Even though the left funneled massive efforts into destroying his credibility, character, and career, Kavanaugh was able to clear the Committee this past Friday, on the condition that an investigation limited in scope be opened into the accusations against him by the FBI.

So far, the investigation has brought nothing of significance to light that would stop the nominee from being confirmed to the Supreme Court. Now it seems that the Democrats are hoping any new information uncovered on Kavanaugh not be made public. Democrats like Dianne Feinstein want just select staffers and Senate members to have access to the information.

Elizabeth Landers, a reporter for CNN, wrote on Twitter, quoting Senator Feinstein. She wrote, “(Feinstein) indicates that the FBI report on Kavanaugh should NOT be made public: ‘It would seem to me that if people are going to be identified this ought to be held very close and not. I think the investigation ought to be closely held,’ she (Feinstein) reiterated.”

It’s interesting that Feinstein wasn’t concerned about Christine Blasey Ford’s confidentiality. She also didn’t show any concern for the individuals named by the alleged victim when their names became public information.

Conservative Tribune writes:

A CNN report noted that Feinstein has demanded the FBI inform her of everyone the agency is talking to as part of its probe into the Kavanaugh allegations, and said, “And of course, it would be given to us on a classified basis but at least we would know.”

Asked how the American public will have any confidence in the ultimate conclusions reached by the Senate following such a secret report from the FBI, Feinstein replied, “Well, let’s see … I can’t say because I don’t know what the investigation will say.”

Nor is Feinstein alone, as an update to that same CNN article reported that the California senator was joined in her call for the results of the FBI probe to remain secret by Democratic Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware.

“I think that the work product of the FBI should be kept confidential to the Senate, but all senators should be able to review it,” Coons stated to reporters. “That’s typically what’s the case in any background investigation, the FBI delivers investigatory work — facts, not conclusions — and then senators review those files. But those are committee confidential files typically.”

It would also be “typical” for the Senate Judiciary Committee to look into the allegations against a Supreme Court nominee privately. The alleged details don’t need to be shouted from the rooftops the way they were.
