Kirsters Baish| Minority Leader of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi has just about lost every last one of her marbles. The California Democrat’s unhinged “how dare you” display on the floor of the House took everyone by surprise, even though nothing she does should surprise us anymore. She confronted and proceeded to chase down a congressman who had the kahunas to criticize Pelosi’s leadership skills when it came to immigration reform and border security.
I’d say that Pelosi has officially lost it.
The behavior that Pelosi displayed at the House was completely out of line, even for her. She breached decorum in an extremely unusual way when she decided it was a good idea to change down Representative Tom Marino after taking serious offense to the comments the Pennsylvania Republican made during a debate on the border funding bill.
The Congressman was right at the butt end of Pelosi’s anger. Tom Marino spoke to Fox News after the matter to explain exactly what happened that day. He explained that Pelosi insulted him and his constituents out of pure anger. She even called him “insignificant” numerous times.
Marino finished up his remarks and Republicans in the House gave him a round of applause. Unfortunately, Pelosi decided it was time to cross the chamber in front of cameras, clearly enraged, while pointing her finger right at Marino. The looney toon proceeded to chase Marino up a Republican aisle while gesturing and screaming at him. Lawmakers from the GOP side looked shocked and appalled by the House Minority Leader’s behavior. It was clear that she was way out of order.
Pelosi spokeswoman Evangeline George stated, “Leader Pelosi just wanted to remind the Congressman that House Democrats had the courage to pass the DREAM Act – and have the courage to stand up for what the American people want: bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform. Pelosi accepted the Congressman’s apology.”
Marino’s chief of staff Bill Tighe had a different take on the situation and explained that Marino did no such thing as apologize to Pelosi since he had no reason to.
Tighe explained via email, “[Rep. Marino] did not apologize to Leader Pelosi and does not intend to do so as he has nothing to apologize for. She was entirely out of line in approaching him while he was recognized and delivering remarks on the Floor. Her staff’s comment in your story about her accepting his apology is simply not true.”
When will the Democrats realize that they aren’t in charge anymore? We suffered for eight long years with Obama and didn’t try to sabotage him and his administration at every corner, even when it was tempting. It seems as though the Left will never give up the loss of the 2016 Presidential Election.
