Welcome Back AG: Sessions Makes A Big Announcement About Disgraced FBI Agent Peter Strzok, Crusading FBI Agent Loses Security Clearance

Kirsters Baish| According to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok no longer has security clearance. Sessions made the announcement on Thursday, following the release of Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s much anticipated report.

The Attorney General sat down with radio personality Howie Carr. He explained, “Mr. Strzok — as I understand — has lost his security clearance.”

Sessions’ comment comes after numerous reporters that claim that the former Deputy Head of Counterintelligence for the FBI was pulled from FBI “headquarters on Friday as part of an internal disciplinary measure.”

Former FBI investigator Strzok’s attorney, Aitan Goelman, stated to the Washington Post last Sunday that Strzok is planning on appearing in front of the House Judiciary Committee and other Congressional committees. He claimed that Strzok will not be receiving immunity, and he will not be invoking his Fifth Amendment Right.

Breitbart News reports:

The Justice Department watchdog report released last week concluded Strzok had shown “bias,” during the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email use.

Strzok was removed from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe in the summer of 2017 after the department found out about the texts. Strzok’s mistress Lisa Page only briefly worked on Mueller’s team and left before the texts were discovered.

Both Strzok and Page text messaged one another regarding their thoughts and observations on the 2016 presidential race. They described then-candidate Donald Trump as “idiot,” “loathsome,” “menace,” and “disaster.” Four days prior to the 2016 presidential election, Page text messaged Strzok to say that the “American presidential election, and thus, the state of the world, actually hangs in the balance.”

Numerous texts had already been released to the public following the FBI having sent them to Congress. The new damning text message was placed in the newly released report. In August of 2016, Lisa Page wrote to Strzok, “(Trump’s) not ever going to become president, right? Right?!”

To which Strzok responded, “No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it.”

Inspector General Horowitz’s report states that the conversation “is not only indicative of a biased state of mind but, even more seriously, implies a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate’s electoral prospects. This is antithetical to the core values of the FBI and the Department of Justice.”

The Daily Caller reports that Peter Strzok was a part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigative team until July of last year, when the OIG found the text messages between he and Page. In one of the messages, which was dated Aug. 8, 2016, Strzok wrote “we’ll stop” Trump from winning the presidency. The text was not released to the public until it appeared in the OIG report that was released on June 14 of this year. The report explained that Strzok, along with four other FBI agents, had been referred for disciplinary actions due to anti-Trump messages that they had sent back in 2016 and 2017.

Investigative Reporter Sara Carter writes:

Last summer, Strzok was removed from Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation into the Trump campaign after the Inspector General found numerous concerning text messages between the agent and his paramour, FBI attorney, Lisa Page. Last week’s IG report uncovered even more damning messages between the two, including one in which Strzok said “we’ll stop” Trump from becoming president.

When asked whether or not FBI agents would be prosecuted or disciplined for accepting giftsfrom journalists, Sessions told Carr, “I’ll let FBI Director Wray respond to those individual matters. I would just say this. We’ve got a new FBI director. I recommended Mr. Comey be terminated and the president terminated him. I fired the deputy director, Mr. McCabe. They now have a new deputy director, a new chief of staff, a new legal counsel, a new communications director and I think we’re on path to get some new blood at the top of the FBI.”
