Kirsters Baish| It’s been pretty sickening to watch the way Democrat California Representative Maxine Waters has been shifting her work in her congressional career into some kind of rally to destroy Trump and the Republican Party. Waters is one of the most anti-Trump members currently serving in Congress. She has been playing on millennials, dubbing herself as “Auntie Maxine.” As if the woman is someone they can trust. The thing is, it doesn’t really look like millennials are really as supportive of Waters as she would like to think they are.
Waters held an “Auntie Maxine Meet & Greet Tweet-A-Thon” this past Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in her own district of Los Angeles, California. You would think an event in California, where liberal millennials are so active in politics, the turnout would be great. Wrong.
The poster reads:
“Come join top social media influencers for a tweet-a-thon in support of Auntie Maxine, our fearless champion in Congress who taught us how to reclaim our time! We are coming together to amplify congresswoman Waters is voice and highlight her many achievements throughout her career. Millennials come energized & ready to get out the vote!”
A video of the event was posted to Twitter, and it showed that there were no more than 20 people total in the room… including “Auntie Maxine.”
The Daily Caller wrote of the event, “When the camera panned to the room where the event was being held, many empty chairs and tables can be seen. The small group of supporters huddled in a circle to tell the congresswoman what issues they care about, and to listen to Waters talk about housing, the border, Donald Trump, Ben Carson and her congressional opponent, Omar Navarro.”
Take a look at the video, and see for yourself.

Keep in mind that not everyone who came to the event was even a millennial either.
Things are not looking too good for Maxine Waters at this point. She should probably just stop digging the hole that she has started for herself.
Omar Navarro is running against Maxine Waters. He hopes to “give the people of the 43rd an independent voice in Congress- not one beholden to special interests and career politicians.” His website lays out what the Republican candidate is all about. Take a look here.
