Kirsters Baish| Former Secretary of State and failed Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry has been taking part in some seriously shady events that are in violation of the Logan Act. The left almost seem happy about his betrayal.
The former Secretary of State is working alongside foreign leaders to bring the Iran nuclear agreement back to life. Israel proved and the United States confirmed that Iran is not holding up their end of the bargain.
President Trump is less than enthused about Kerry’s “efforts.”
The United States does not need John Kerry’s possibly illegal Shadow Diplomacy on the very badly negotiated Iran Deal. He was the one that created this MESS in the first place!”
The Washington Times reports that Kerry, who has never been elected into presidency, has taken the low road and went behind President Trump’s back to conspire with the enemy to go around U.S. foreign policy. The Globe wrote that two weeks ago in New York, “more than a year after he left office, he engaged in some unusual shadow diplomacy with a top-ranking official. The rare moves by a former secretary of state highlight the stakes for Kerry personally, as well as for other Obama-era diplomats who are dismayed by what they see as Trump’s disruptive approach to diplomacy.”
The Times challenged readers to consider for a moment if some unelected diplomat from the Jimmy Carter administration had tried to undermine one of Reagan’s efforts in ending the Cold War.
The Times writes:
Of course, you cannot imagine that because it is unimaginable that even Jimmy Carter would have ever hired such a buffoon so utterly committed to hurting America.
Well, now that we are all so whipped up into such a frenzy over anyone who might be colluding with a foreign enemy to undermine the free will of the people and hijack the American political process, we should certainly take a hard look at Mr. Kerry.
And if he sets foot back at the United Nations are anywhere else Iran’s terror leaders can be found, Mr. Kerry should be arrested and thrown in jail.
The news was released by the Boston Globe that Kerry had met with the Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif. Kerry was also meeting with other European leaders. They were all trying to save the dying Iran Deal which President Trump announced we would be dropping out of yesterday.
Many Americans are angry that Kerry would do such a thing. After all, it was extremely inappropriate… not to mention illegal.
The Logan Act states that all negotiation by any unauthorized person with foreign governments who are in the middle of a dispute with the United States is illegal. The hopes is to stop people from going against the decisions of the United States government.
No one has ever been convicted of breaking the Logan Act, but two people have been indicted before. Kerry’s actions were clearly breaking the Logan Act. There are no two ways about it.
Former Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Joe Lieberman labeled Kerry’s actions “inappropriate.” He also stated, “I hope he stops.”
Republican Representative Devin Nunes got the attention of the FBI. It’s up to them to do something about it.
Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute Rebecca Heinrichs stated that he was taking advantage of his contacts in order to undermine Trump.
