Kirsters Baish| Republican GOP Representative Trey Gowdy let it all out in terms of his feelings on Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday. He called Schumer’s recent speech in which he clearly stated that he opposed President Donald Trump’s judicial nominee simply because of the fact that he was white.
Representative Schumer was the target of a lot of Americans’ anger this week after going on live television saying that he would “vote no” on President Trump’s nominee simply because he was a white male. He would be replacing two “scuttled” African American candidates, and Schumer didn’t like that at all. He stated that the courts should properly represent America’s racial diversity.
Trey Gowdy tweeted out, “I hate to interrupt Senator Schumer with facts. But one nominee was withdrawn because of a significant bond issue, while the other became the Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court.”

He went on to explain, “In addition, Senator Schumer did not oppose a recent white nominee in South Carolina also nominated by President Trump. Marvin Quattlebaum is uniquely well qualified for the bench and universally respected by all in South Carolina. Hopefully Senator Schumer can find a way to look at really unusual factors (like qualifications) in the future.”

It doesn’t seem very fair to discriminate against someone based on their race… does it? Isn’t that something that democrats are constantly complaining about? It seems as though they only complain about discrimination when Republicans are doing it, but when one of their own does it, they simply turn the other cheek. How convenient.
