Super Bowl Champion Eagles Bash America & Our President, So Trump Rescinds Their Invite To The White House. Who He Invites Instead Has The Internet On Fire

Kirsters Baish| President Trump announced this week that he would be canceling Super Bowl Champions the Philadelphia Eagles’ visit to the White House after multiple team members expressed that they would not be interested in participating in the traditional meet and greet. Football fans and the mainstream media bashed Trump on social media following the announcement.

President Trump made the final decision to cancel the invitation after the team stated that they would be sending less than ten of their members to Washington for the visit. This would mean that less than 20 percent of the entire team would participate in an event that 1,000 fans were scheduled to attend.

Twitter users were ticked off to say the least.

The Chief of Staff to Philadelphia’s mayor took a shot at Trump as well:

Not all of the feedback was negative, however:

Take a look at the video below to see Fox News’ report on Trump’s cancellation of the visit:

ABC6 Philadelphia reported:

Trump said in a statement Monday that some members of the Super Bowl championship team “disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country.”

He said the team wanted to send a smaller delegation Tuesday, but “the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better.”

Instead, Trump said he would be hosting “a different type of ceremony,” featuring the U.S. Marine Band and the U.S. Army Chorus, that “will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem.”

President Trump tweeted today, explaining that there would be an alternate event for the 1,000 fans who were expected to attend the original event.

Here is Trump’s original tweet from yesterday, announcing his decision to cancel the visit:

While the left will persecute President Trump for making this decision, he did what he had to do. The Eagles showed him nothing but disrespect, and he was simply standing up for himself, our nation and it’s Anthem.
