Kirsters Baish| On Tuesday, lawmakers heeded warning to Americans that the Inspector General is being pushed to redact important parts of his much awaited report regarding the FBI’s conduct during their handling of the Clinton private server investigation.
American investigative reporter Sara Carter explained that the Department of Justice in addition to the FBI have been purposely trying to force Inspector General Horowitz to redact specific parts of his report. It doesn’t come as much of a shock. President Donald Trump tweeted on the matter on Tuesday morning.
Sara Carter reported:
The Department of Justice and the FBI are deliberately attempting to slow roll and redact significant portions of DOJ Inspector General, Michael Horowitz’s report on the bureau’s handling of the Hillary Clinton investigation, according to numerous congressional officials and investigators.
Another congressional official, who’s been fighting to obtain documents from the DOJ and FBI, said it is no surprise that they are putting pressure on Horowitz. According to the official, “They continue to slow roll documents, fail to adhere to congressional oversight and concern is growing that they will wait until summer and then turn over documents that are heavily redacted.”
It was three weeks ago on Capitol Hill that Inspector General Horowitz told lawmakers about his 400 page report about the FBI’s conduct during the Hillary Clinton email probe’s final stages. We have been informed that the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing on the much anticipated IG report, which was intended to be held on June 5th, has been moved back another week. As of today, the hearing will be taking place on Monday June 11th and will be streamed live for the public to see.
It was reported by The Gateway Pundit that sources have revealed that the reported on Comey’s FBI is “damning” and “worse than expected.”
President Trump explained on Tuesday that his patience was thinning when it came to the constant delays.
President Trump tweeted, “What is taking so long with the Inspector General’s Report on Crooked Hillary and Slippery James Comey. Numerous delays. Hope Report is not being changed and made weaker! There are so many horrible things to tell, the public has the right to know. Transparency!”

The Gateway Pundit suggests, “The President should declassify all documents relating to Spygate and Russiagate. Chairman Nunes can also put pressure on the DOJ and FBI by demanding all documents be delivered to the House Intel Committee in unredacted form.”
Congress is going to have to threaten the Justice Department and the FBI with contempt charges if they have hopes of ever stopping them from obstructing oversight.
