Elder Patriot – The last time the federal government squared off with a state over the enforcement of federal law was in 1963 when Alabama Gov. George C. Wallace was forced to open the University of Alabama to it’s first black students.
Wallace ended his defiance of federal law when President Kennedy’s Deputy Attorney General Nicholas Katzenbach demanded ordered National Guard troops remove the governor so that two Negroes would be able to enroll in the University of Alabama.

The intention is to force these mayors to provide answers as to how they are planning to comply with federal laws governing immigration as well as the rules and regulations covering the handling of illegal immigrants.
The letter contained a warning that failure to comply would be met with fines and further legal action.
The recent shutdown proved that Americans have no stomach for changing federal laws to favor those who have broken them by entering our country illegally.
These mayors are playing a losing hand and they know it. Why are these mayors courting widespread civil unrest? Are the Democrats really that desperate?
It appears that President Trump is about to begin the arduous task of fulfilling another campaign promise.
