Kirsters Baish| We spent most of the 2017 football season avoiding the NFL all together after former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick began a disgusting trend of kneeling during the National Anthem. Self-entitled millionaire athletes are about to lose it when they hear what two NFL team owners just came forward to say. This is the end of the anthem protests once and for all.
It started with Miami Dolphins owner Steve Ross who felt that it was time to come out and enforce that every single player on his team must be standing for the National Anthem or they will not remain on the team.
The Washington Examiner reported the a real estate developer named Stephen Ross spoke to the New York Daily News and stated, “All of our players will be standing.” He continued on saying, “Initially, I totally supported the players in what they were doing. It’s America and people should be able to really speak their choices.”
The owner of the Miami Dolphins explained that he had thought over and over about his own support for those kneeling during the National Anthem after he personally felt that the conversation had come from protesting racial inequalities to downright disrespecting our country and the men and women who serve our country, or as Ross put it, it went from protesting racial inequality to protesting “support of our country or the military.”
Then there was the owner of the Houston Texans, Robert C. McNair, who made it clear that no team of his would be protesting the National Anthem.
The Houston Chronicle reported:
There is no directive within the organization, but it is considered to be understood that as desperate as the Texans are to bring in talent, the pool of potential signees and draftees will not include anyone who has participated in protests or are likely to.
The National Anthem protests are bound to end with the start of the new football season, or these athletes aren’t going to have teams to play on. No coach wants players on their team who are going to turn Americans against the entire team. Looks like President Trump is getting the last laugh, and all of the players who are following in Kaepernick’s footsteps are going to find themselves jobless if they don’t shape up soon.
