Patience Is A Virtue: Inspector General Horowitz Confirms That Disgraced FBI Dir James Comey Under Investigation After Having Mishandled Classified Memos

Kirsters Baish| In some breaking news, during a Congressional hearing today, Inspector General Michael Horowitz has confirmed that former FBI Director James Comey is officially under investigation for his mishandling of memos containing classified information.

Comey, who was fired from his position as FBI Director, wrote seven memos after having nine different conversations with President Donald Trump. It has been reported that at least four of those seven memos contained some kind of classified government information.

The former FBI Director gave the memos to someone who he called his “friend,” Daniel Richman. Richman then leaked the memos to the New York Times with the goal of getting a Special Counsel.

Today, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley questioned Inspector General Horowitz “if the IG is investigating Comey’s handling of his memos about Trump.”

Horowitz’s response said it all.

“Yes, we’re investigating it and will produce a report on it,” he stated.

Fox News reports:

Investigators should probe whether former FBI Director James Comey discussed classified information using a personal email account, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said Monday at a hearing on the Justice Department watchdog’s bombshell report on the handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe.

FBI Director Christopher Wray and Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz were testifying before the panel.

During the hearing, Horowitz revealed that the DOJ watchdog is already investigating Comey concerning his leaked memos documenting his interactions with President Trump, which critics charged may have contained classified information.

The Inspector General stated, “We’ve received a referral on that from the FBI … and we will issue a report when the matter is complete.”

FBI Director Wray would not talk about whether or not Comey had lied in his testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee when questioned by Senator Ted Cruz. He didn’t speak about whether or not James Comey and/or Andrew McCabe had illegally leaked information to the press. He explained that his reason for declining to comment on these matters was simply that it could compromise ongoing investigations.

The Inspector General’s report on the Clinton private server investigation was released last week, and it showed that there was a clear anti-Trump bias within the FBI as well as the Department of Justice. The report also proved that James Comey had used a personal Gmail account in order to “conduct unclassified FBI business” in a way that was not considered normal FBI policy. The report also revealed that known anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok had also used a personal email account in order to conduct government business.

Chuck Grassley tweeted today, “Comey attorney said he was out of the country & couldn’t testify 2day but he was tweeting from Iowa recently I prefer being in Iowa too but ppl deserve answers abt FBI conduct”.

Things are looking worse and worse by the day for James Comey. This story is still developing. Check back for updates.
