Once Boycotted Fox News Host, Laura Ingraham Just Took The Hatchet To Rachel Maddow, Making TV History

Kirsters Baish| It seems that things are changing for Fox News host Laura Ingraham, and these changes could mean a lot come the Fall. After Parkland survivor turned anti-gun activist David Hogg opened the floodgates to the boycott against Laura Ingraham, she lost multiple advertisers. But, despite these setbacks, Ingraham’s ratings soared. The whole thing was ridiculously petty, but Ingraham came out on top.

Now, the anti-Second Amendment lefties of America should be shaking in their boots, now that television ratings for May 7-14 are in.

TVNewser reported that Fox News’ Sean Hannity was ranked as the number one spot, as the most watched basic cable host. Ingraham came in second.

Boycott or not, Ingraham overcame the obstacles, and with the help of her loyal fanbase, beat out MSNBC host Rachel Maddow in total number of viewers as well as viewers within the age demographic that is most sought after by television advertisers.

This is the first time in history that Laura Ingraham beat Rachel Maddow.

This news likely hit Hogg and the rest of the anti-Second Amendment activists out there like a ton of bricks. Now that the influence Hogg and his buddies had over Americans has come to a simmer, they are finding that they no longer have influence among the masses.

Western Journal reports on the numbers:

All of this should be nagging at Democrats and the party’s acolytes in the media, who’ve been hyping up a “blue wave” in November’s midterms since Alabama’s special Senate election in December saw a Democrat win.

If liberal enthusiasm for their superstars like Maddow is flagging, it should be no surprise that liberal willingness to get to the polls to vote for a generic Democrat should be running out of steam, too.

That Democrat ennui might be why polls that showed Democrats with a midterm advantage as high as 16 points in December has dwindled to a within-the-margin-of-error 3 points; a statistical tie, in other words.

It doesn’t matter what the reason is, fans of Laura Ingraham took to Twitter to express their pride in the ratings:

The last tweet says it all. The “Thought-Police” won’t control how we think. It would be impossible for a country as huge as the United States to throw out eight years of mess that Barack Obama’s presidency left us with, but we are on the right track.

The Obama administration made effort after effort to take a figurative dump on American politics, and over eight years they successfully infiltrated the minds of the millennial generation, but not everyone is so easily influenced.

People like Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham are keeping the fight alive, and clearly they are doing something right. Conservative hosts have taken the top two spots when it comes down to viewership. The numbers don’t lie. Conservatism is making a big comeback.
