New Information Surfaces Showing 75% Think Feinstein Acted Improperly
While Senate Democrats worked around the clock to delay the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, their efforts fell short, and for her part, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein became public enemy number one.
It was reported this past Wednesday by liberal source NPR that there has been much concern over the quickly approaching midterm elections since the Kavanaugh hearings.
The Democrats were doing pretty well in terms of preparing for the elections, that is until Feinstein handed over the letter written by Christine Blasey Ford, in which she accused Kavanaugh of the decades-old sexual assault, to authorities… weeks after receiving it. The whole thing reeked of a Democratic delay tactic.
Now, things have backfired on the Democrats.
“Just over a month away from critical elections across the country, the wide Democratic enthusiasm advantage that has defined the 2018 campaign up to this point has disappeared,” reported NPR.
An NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll tells it all.
NPR wrote, “In July, there was a 10-point gap between the number of Democrats and Republicans saying the November elections were ‘very important.’ Now, that is down to 2 points, a statistical tie.”
In essence, Republicans weren’t doing as much to prepare for the midterm elections. They didn’t have as much to lose as the Democrats, who already lost the presidency. Now, things have changed. Since the Kavanaugh accusations, Republicans have become much more active in the weeks leading up to the elections.
“The result of hearings, at least in the short run, is the Republican base was awakened,” stated political expert Lee Miringoff. Miringoff oversaw the Marist Institute for Public Opinion poll.
The amount of Americans who spoke up about their issues with Senator Dianne Feinstein and how she handled the letter was shocking.
“A majority of voters believe that Kavanaugh’s confirmation process was politicized and mishandled, with 69% calling it a ‘national disgrace,’” the Harvard CAPS – Harris group found through a recent poll.
It seems that most Democrats and Republicans are on the same page when it comes to their feelings on Feinstein at the moment. For her part in the courtroom circus, Americans are angry.
The Harvard CAPS Harris poll found that “75% of voters believe that Senator Diana Feinstein (sic) should have immediately turned over the letter from Christine Ford to the Senate Judiciary committee in July, when she received it.”
Democrats and Republicans NEVER agree on anything these days. The fact that 75% of those polled agree that Feinstein is to blame proves that she’s in deep trouble.
Fox Business contributor Lee Carter pointed toward a similar sentiment.
“In talking to folks last week … a lot of them were very angry at the existing senators,” Carter explained. “Very angry at Dianne Feinstein for waiting so long to get this out there, if you look at this — 75 percent of Americans, and that’s across party lines, are blaming Dianne Feinstein for where we are right now.”
Things aren’t looking very good for the Democrats when it comes to the midterm elections, which are rapidly approaching. Dianne Feinstein seriously screwed the Democratic Party on this one.
