Kirsters Baish| Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s much awaited report on the DOJ and the FBI’s conduct in their handling of the Hillary Clinton private server investigation. The report includes a text message between FBI agent Peter Strzok and his colleague/mistress Lisa Page that had not yet been released.
Bloomberg expert Jennifer Jacobs explained that Strzok’s text message assured his lover, “We’ll stop it,” when speaking about the possibility of Donald Trump winning the presidency.
“Several FBI employees Who played critical roles in the investigation sent political messages,” IG report says.
It cites Lisa Page text to Peter Strzok: “(Trump’s) not ever going to become president, right? Right?!”
Strzok: “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.”

The newly released message of Strzok’s is said to have been sent during the 2016 presidential campaign. Strzok and his lover, Page, were both working on the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server at the time. This probe was called, “Operation Mid-Year Exam.” Peter Strzok was later named as one agent who was involved in the decision to ultimately alter investigative findings which called Clinton’s handling “grossly negligent,” to “extremely careless.” That’s right. The report went from accusing Clinton of a criminal standard to lessening the accusation.
On Wednesday, the Department of Justice seemed to confirm that the new text messages were authentic… even before they were released to the public.
A spokesperson for the Department of Justice released a statement that was sent to congressional committees which stated, “In May 2018, the Department learned that – after further extensive investigation – the IG has recovered additional text messages, at least two of which are relevant to his final report. The Office of the Deputy Attorney General [Rod Rosenstein] was made aware of one of these particular messages on the evening of June 8 and of the other on Sunday June 10.”
The statement reveals that the two text messages were found by the Inspector General’s forensic investigators following their work on unearthing months worth of text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. These text message were claimed to be “missing” “due to the technical glitch.” The two text messages that were just uncovered are presumably the ones that Jacobs had spoke about.
Breitbart News reports, “Despite the apparent inclusion of the texts in the IG’s report, the conclusion of the report, according to Jacobs’ pre-release reporting, is that ‘While we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comey’s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice.'”
An FBI agent who worked on the special counsel’s Russia probe texted another investigator in August 2016 that “We’ll stop” Donald Trumpfrom getting elected president, according to Thursday’s watchdog report on the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
Previous texts exchanged by Peter Strzok and Lisa Page had already landed the pair in hot water, and have been used by Trump as a cudgel to attack both the investigation into Clinton’s emails as well as the special counsel’s Russia probe. The newly revealed messages, some of the 40,000 that the inspector general reviewed in total, appear to be the most explicit texts so far made public.
Peter Strzok is really in for a ride now, and he has no room to complain since he did this to himself.
