Kirsters Baish| We all witnessed the train wreck that was John McCain abandoning the Republican Party over the last few years. He decided it was a good idea to propose a bipartisan immigration deal which would give amnesty to illegals… with no funding for the border wall. It seems as though McCain is finally seeing the error of his ways. He is beginning to realize that siding with the Left wasn’t such a good idea after all.
President Trump is ready and willing to show McCain who’s boss.
It backfired as Trump has told McCain and Delaware Democrat Chris Coons exactly where they can stick their bill and the president continues to stand firm on not bending on border security while McCain and his ilk are only concerned with putting illegals over Americans.
CNBC also reported, saying that President Trump rejected the bipartisan immigration plan on Monday. This happened before it was formally presented by Senator John McCain and Senator Chris Coons. Lawmakers racked their brains as to how they were to go about resolving an impasse over how to change the system.
John McCain and Chris Coons are going to be introducing legislation which would ultimately protect hundreds of thousands of minor illegal immigrants. President Trump released a tweet which didn’t mention McCain and Coon by name, however there was a strong indication that it was referring to them.
President Trump put an end to the DACA program back in September of 2017, but he allowed lawmakers to have six months to refine it. Strangely enough, it wasn’t just Democrats who were looking to enshrine legal status for illegals who are protected by the program. Some Republicans have been pushing for DACA as well, however they have bene unable to reach a deal on other changes that the GOP is looking for.
Trump has been pushing hard for the border barrier wall, and has been working for funding. He has also been working on extending family migration and trying to put an end to the visa “lottery” system.
We have seen just how hard it is to crack down on immigration when the left is fighting you every step of the way.
American News Alert reported:
There’s been a lot of comment on the release of the Nunes FISA abuse memo. As expected, Democrats are desperately trying to spin it. So perhaps it should not come as a surprise that their adopted son, Sen. John McCain (not really Republican-AZ), should attack the release of the memo.
It doesn’t seem that McCain is bothered by this at all. He has declared a personal war on Trump, and another on the entire Republican Party. The Senator claimed that the release of the memo doesn’t help the interests of American, “only Putin’s.”
In a statement, McCain actually stated:
In 2016, the Russian government engaged in an elaborate plot to interfere in an American election and undermine our democracy. Russia employed the same tactics it has used to influence elections around the world, from France and Germany to Ukraine, Montenegro, and beyond. Putin’s regime launched cyber attacks and spread disinformation with the goal of sowing chaos and weakening faith in our institutions. And while we have no evidence that these efforts affected the outcome of our election, I fear they succeeded in fueling political discord and dividing us from one another.
The latest attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice serve no American interests – no party’s, no president’s, only Putin’s. The American people deserve to know all of the facts surrounding Russia’s ongoing efforts to subvert our democracy, which is why Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation must proceed unimpeded. Our nation’s elected officials, including the president, must stop looking at this investigation through the warped lens of politics and manufacturing partisan sideshows. If we continue to undermine our own rule of law, we are doing Putin’s job for him.
McCain looks at criticizing the FBI and the Department of Justice as so harmful that it’s actually helping Putin? This man really doesn’t understand the way the world works. But, when it comes to criticism of our Commander in Chief, that’s okay?
It’s looking more and more like it’s past McCain’s expiration date and it’s time for him to clock out of politics for good.
