Kirsters Baish| Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters should probably consider throwing in the towel on her political career along with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. If there’s one thing the two women have in common at this point, it’s that their minds aren’t quite sound enough to be practicing politics anymore. Waters was caught trashing President Donald Trump, calling him “dishonorable” during an outburst she had this week on the House floor. The congresswoman claimed that she was offended by the “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan. She went on to attack another Congressman during her rant.
Congresswoman Waters took out her frustrations on President Trump, all while ripping apart his famous catchphrase. She was responding to one GOP lawmaker’s comments that all legislators should be working to “make America great every day.”
“This business about making America great again; it is your President that’s dividing this country,” yelled Waters.
“I resent that, and I resent the remark about making America great again. He’s down here making this speech for this dishonorable President of the United States of America,” she continued.
Take a look at the Infowars video of Waters’ rant below:
As you saw in the video, Waters slammed the Pennsylvania Republican after he mentioned “making America great again.”
Representative Mike Kelly, who is representing Erie and Butler, stated that lawmakers have got to work harder toward “trying to make sure that we’re making America great every day in every way.”
“Stop talking about discrimination and start talking more about the nation,” he stated. “We are coming together as a people in spite of what you say.”
Before Waters took the floor, Republican Representative Tom McClintock from California reminded Kelly that he should be addressing remarks to the chair.
When Kelly was leaving the room, Waters called out to him to tell him not to leave. She stated that she was “offended as an African-American woman than you will ever be” by what he had said.
McClintock scolded Waters for not addressing her remarks to him, rather than directly addressing Kelly.
Even after she was asked to quiet down in order to let McClintock speak, Waters claimed that Kelly had made “outrageous remarks” and claimed that she “resent(s) that remark about making American great again.” She also called President Trump a “dishonorable president.”
