Married Politician Caught “Having Sex With a Man in His Office”

Kirsters Baish| These days, in the world of politics nothing seems to surprise us. There are numerous reasons as to why a politician would be forced to resign. Both corruption and malfeasance are two biggies. Although I said nothing seems surprising in the world of politics, we were shocked to find out that one married Ohio Republican has decided to step down from his position for a reason that no one expected.

Ohio Republican Wes Goodman has always been proud of his Christian faith. He has been openly anti-LGBT, and hasn’t been shy about letting people know his views about homosexuality. Goodman was obviously living in some pretty serious denial. It has just been made public that he was caught in his office having sexual relations with another man.

The Columbus Dispatch reported that the witness came to Ohio House Chief of Staff Mike Dittoe to tell him what had occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Dittoe spoke to House Speaker Republican Cliff Rosenberger about the incident who then met with Goodman. 33-year-old Goodman has been labeled as the “conscience of the conservative movement” in the past. He has now resigned from his post for “inappropriate conduct.” Goodman’s Twitter bio describes himself as a “Christian. American. Conservative. Republican. Husband to @Beth1027.” Goodman has time and time again claimed that “natural marriage” only occurs between a man and a woman.

Listen to the audio:

Wes Goodman is clearly a very troubled man who had to lie in order to cover up his own demons.

The 33-year-old’s campaign website says that “healthy, vibrant, thriving, values-driven families are the source of Ohio’s proud history.” He has apologized for his actions.

In a statement, Goodman explained, “We all bring our own struggles and our own trials into public life. That has been true for me, and I sincerely regret that my actions and choices have kept me from serving my constituents and our state in a way that reflects the best ideals of public service. For those whom I have let down, I’m sorry. As I move onto the next chapter of my life, I sincerely ask for privacy for myself, my family, and my friends.”

Goodman’s leaving his post happened less than a month after another resignation. Sen. Cliff Hite resigned last month after being accused of sexual harassment by a staffer who stated that he asked her over and over again to have sexual intercourse with him in his Columbus condo. Senate Democratic Chief of Staff Mike Premo resigned on Monday after a complaint of inappropriate behavior by a staffer.

Senate President Larry Obhof explained that Senators had to undergo sexual harassment training on Wednesday. Staff will go through the same training in weeks to come. House members as well as staff are going to be doing the same.

Obhof explained, “Both the House and the Senate are sending a pretty clear message that inappropriate behavior won’t be tolerated. If you engage in that, there will be swift action and it will be decisive.”

Goodman’s two-sentence resignation letter called it the “greatest honor of my life to serve the constituents of the 87th House District.”

The Daily Mail reported that spoke to Johnny Hadlock. Hadlock had been working as an aide to a different Republican congressional on Capitol Hill. He explained that he had met with Goodman back in 2010, and during their conversations Hadlock told Goodman that he was a homosexual, but had not come out of the closet. He explained that he and Goodman had exchanged explicit text messages which included sexting. The two also engaged in phone sex.

We live in a sick dark world, and it’s about time that the truth starts coming out, no matter how many sickos are taken down along the way.
