Kirsters Baish| Have you ever noticed how liberals love to make up convenient excuses for other liberals, but when Republicans are facing the same allegations their claws come out? In recent weeks, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has been under fire from Democrats after a former high school classmate of his and known liberal activist, Christine Blasey Ford, alleged that he had sexually assaulted her more than three decades ago.
This past Monday, the hosts of “The View” took the opportunity to slam Kavanaugh, without even having all of the facts. Co-host Joy Behar claimed that Kavanaugh should have to take a lie detector test to prove his innocence.
“She also took a lie detector test, maybe he should,” Behar stated. “Take a lie detector test. At least we will see something from that.”
Then, co-host Abby Huntsman said that the Supreme Court nominee had enough votes to be confirmed. Behar responded by claiming that after more information is released regarding the allegations, this may change.
Behar stated, “There are rumblings now from (Sens. Jeff) Flake, (Bob) Corker, (Lisa) Murkowski and (Susan) Collins that this should not be rushed through. What’s the big rush? There are still 174,000 papers that we haven’t seen on Kavanaugh. Plus we have this allegation from a rather credible witness. So what is the rush? This is a lifetime appointment.”
She stated that the Republicans are hoping to confirm Kavanaugh prior to the upcoming November midterm elections. She said, “They’re afraid that if we wait until after the midterms and you have a Democratic congress in the majority that they will never put him through. And they are like, ‘This is our last chance to stack the court with a conservative judge.’”
Most of the show’s co-hosts had a plethora of reasons prepared as to why they feel Kavanaugh should not be confirmed… but what they failed to remember is that in the past, they were much quicker to dismiss accusations against members of their own Party, like former President Bill Clinton and movie director Roman Polanski. Both men were accused of rape and sexual assault, but the hosts of “The View” didn’t seem to care about those allegations.
Recall back to January 2016 when Joy Behar spoke of her loyalty to the Clinton family, regardless of allegations against the former President.
Co-host Paula Faris reminded Behar of Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey’s allegations that Clinton had sexually assaulted/raped them. Behar responded by saying, “He is a dog. Let’s face it. But I still will vote for Bill Clinton because he votes in my favor.”
Then, Newsbusters also reminded us about a September 2009 episode of “The View” during which Whoopi Goldberg was happy to dismiss allegations against Polanski… even though he had already been convicted of having unlawful sex with a minor.
Goldberg spoke of the 1977 incident in which Polanski had sex with a 13-year-old girl dismissing the charges by saying, “I know it wasn’t rape-rape.”
Conservative Tribune explains, “She blamed part of the problem on how people in the U.S. and Europe view the world through a different light. ‘We’re a different kind of society. We see things differently,’ Goldberg said. ‘The world sees 13-year olds and 14-year olds in the rest of Europe … not everybody agrees with the way we see things…’”
The hypocrisy displayed by these women is just disgusting. They should be ashamed.
