Kirsters Baish| The Democrats really want Senator Kamala Harris to run in the 2020 presidential election. The thing is that Harris isn’t exactly the smartest politician out there. This past Thursday, Harris spent seven long minutes questioning President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, about Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the Kasowitz Benson Torres Law Firm. Harris was trying to figure out if Kavanaugh had ever spoken to anyone from the law firm regarding the Special Counsel being led by Mueller.
There are more than 350 lawyers currently employed by Kasowitz Benson and Torres Law Firm. They hold offices in multiple states.
The Gateway Pundit reports that after Harris asked Kavanaugh about Mueller, he answered, “You ask if I ever had a discussion about Bob Mueller, I used to work in the administration with Bob Mueller.”
Things didn’t turn out quite the way Kamala Harris had hoped they would.
Take a look at the video of Harris grilling Kavanaugh and him giving the curveball answer below:
Fox News reports:
In an especially combative moment late in the day, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., pointedly asked Kavanaugh whether he ever had discussed Special Counsel Robert Mueller or his Russia probe with anyone at Kasowitz Benson Torres, the law firm founded by Marc Kasowitz, a former personal attorney to President Trump.
Senator Harris warned Kavanaugh during her questioning, “Be sure about your answer. I’m asking you a very direct question. Yes or no?”
“I’m not sure I know everyone who works at that law firm. I’m not remembering, but I’m happy to be refreshed,” Kavanaugh answered.
“How can you not remember whether or not you had a conversation about Robert Mueller or his investigation with anyone at that law firm?” Harris questioned. She pressed, “This investigation has only been going on for so long, sir, so please answer the question.”
Kavanaugh eventually responded with a question, “I’m just trying to think — do I know anyone who works at that firm? I’d like to know the person you’re thinking of.”
“I think you’re thinking of someone and you don’t want to tell us,” Harris quickly answered. The room fell silent.
Then, Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah interrupted in Kavanaugh’s defense saying “this town is full of law firms” and they “are constantly metastasizing, they break off, they form new firms — they’re like rabbits. There’s no possible way we can expect this witness to know who populates an entire firm.”
Kamala Harris is the best that the Democratic Party has to offer? It looks like it’s going to be an easy win for President Trump in 2020.
