Democrats have been working to derail the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh since even before President Trump announced him as a nominee. Despite the Democrats and their delay tactics, Kavanaugh seems to have a good chance at a successful confirmation vote.
It wasn’t until the week of Kavanaugh’s hearing that Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein came forward with a letter including 36-year-old allegations against the nominee. Feinstein had received the letter three weeks prior to going public with it. It was clearly a last ditch attempt at delaying Kavanaugh’s confirmation by smearing his reputation.
Now, Democratic Senator from New Jersey, Cory Booker, has stated that it doesn’t even matter to him if Kavanaugh is “innocent or guilty.” Take a look:

Booker made a shocking sentiment when he claimed that he didn’t care whether Kavanaugh was guilty or innocent of the accusations that were made against him, he did not feel that he was a worthy nominee for the Supreme Court.
Booker stated, “So my hope is that, beyond the vicious partisan rancor that is going on, beyond the accusations, we don’t lose sight of this moral moment is about in this country,” said Booker, apparently oblivious to his own party’s role in the ‘vicious partisan rancor’ he now claims to want to move beyond. And ultimately ask ourselves the question: Is this the right person to sit on the highest court in the land for a lifetime appointment,” he continued. “When their credibility has been challenged by intimates, people that knew the candidate well as a classmate, when his temperament has been revealed in an emotional moment, where he used language that, frankly, shocked a lot of us.”
The problem with Booker’s statement is that those who have come forward to accuse Kavanaugh, along with the Democrats delaying his confirmation are less than credible sources at this point.
Senator Booker continued on his hypocritical rant, claiming that he would not support Kavanaugh regardless if he was found guilty of the allegations against him or not.
“And then ultimately, not whether he is innocent or guilty — this is not a trial — but ultimately, have enough questions been raised that we should not move on to another candidate, in that long list put together by the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society, move on to another candidate,” said Booker, proving the goal is merely to render Kavanaugh toxic so moderate Republicans won’t vote for him and he’ll be forced to withdraw his nomination,” Booker declared. He continued, “Because ultimately the Supreme Court is not an entitlement, just because you went to Yale or were president of your class doesn’t entitle you to the Supreme Court.” He seemed to forget that Democrats claimed that Judge Merrick Garland was “entitled” to a position on the Supreme Court that former President Barack Obama put him up for in 2016.
Conservative Tribune reports, “Democrats pitched a fit when Republicans — citing an old precedent set by former Sen. Joe Biden — decided to keep the seat open through the election year. It was eventually filled by Justice Neil Gorsuch, who was nominated in 2017 by President Donald Trump.”
Senator Booker continued on his tirade, “This is a sacred institution, and the people that should be on it — whether you disagree with their political or judicial philosophy at all — the people who should be on the Supreme Court should preserve the integrity of the court and be beyond the reproach of these difficult partisan times.”
