Kirsters Baish| It’s always interesting when a Hollywood celebrity crosses over from the dark side of liberalism, even if just for a fleeting moment. A-list Hollywood actress and known liberal political activist Jennifer Lawrence did just that when she shared her own criticism of those who who play dirty when it comes to politics. She explained that entertainers should steer clear of political posturing. She also slammed failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s anti-Trump rhetoric during the campaign, calling it “disgusting.”
While speaking with Vanity Fair, Lawrence criticized celebrity activists who she states made a “huge mistake” when they decided to start attacking Trump supporters before the 2016 presidential election. Needless to say, she wasn’t happy with their behavior.
Lawrence explained to Vanity Fair, “The Democrats made a huge mistake by chastising the Trump supporters, and that was disgusting to me. Of course they’re not going to vote for Hillary Clinton; they’re going to vote for Donald Trump. You laughed at them when their plight is very real.”
She continued on to say, “I’ve always thought that it was a good idea to stay out of politics. Twenty-five percent of America identifies as liberal and I need more than 25 percent of America to go see my movies. It’s not wise, career-speaking, to talk about politics.”
The Hollywood actress made the news toward the end of 2017 when she strangely suggested that the state of Texas “deserved” numerous hurricanes after GOP voters seemed to ignore “climate change.”
