GOP Lawmakers Introduce Bill To Force Maxine Waters to Resign After Inciting Violence Against Trump Administration Officials

Kirsters Baish| It’s looking like Democrat Representative from California, Maxine Waters’ days in Congress may be coming to an end after she urged supporters to launch “attacks” on the Trump administration. Representative Waters stood in front of a crowd of supporters and pushed them to harass White House officials while getting gas, eating in public, and shopping.

One GOP lawmaker felt that Waters was so far out of line, that she should resign from her position, and he’s ready to do something about it. The Daily Caller reports that Arizona Representative Andy Biggs introduced a measure on Monday which would censure Waters. It would ask her to resign from her position for having incited supporters to harass members of the Trump administration.

The Hill reports that Biggs explained that the comments made by Representative Waters do “not become somebody who’s in Congress.” He went on to say that she deserves disciplinary action.

Biggs stated, “So we just introduced it, we have some cosponsors, but what she did was to basically incite people to come after and attack members of the president’s cabinet. And also spread that out to more people. Everybody agrees that it was just highly objectionable what she did.”

Biggs’ measure asks that Waters issue an apology to the Trump administration “for endangering their lives and sowing seeds of discord.” Biggs also asked that Waters explain to her supporters that violence is not the answer. His final demand is that Waters resign from her position.

Waters said to the small crowd on Saturday, “If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. Tell them they’re not welcome any more, anywhere!”

Former George W. Bush White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer called to censure Waters earlier in the day on Monday.

“There’s enough in this society, you don’t engage in those types of practices. And, Maxine basically denied that she called on people to harass others. No peace, no rest. So she is still sticking by what she has done. The press needs to have a feeding frenzy among the left as they always do on the right. It’s her turn now. Frankly I’m at the point where, if she continues to double down the house ought to take up a motion to censure her. Because this does lead to violence,” Fliescher said.

Five members have agreed to sign Biggs’ measure so far.

The Washington Times reports:

A Republican lawmaker, Rep. Andy Biggs from Arizona, slapped Rep. Maxine Waters with a measure of censure and a call to resign.

The bigger shock here is that it took that long for someone in the House to take this action.

Waters has been a thorn in the Democrats’ side — albeit a gift that keeps on giving to the Republicans — since the beginning of President Donald Trump’s administration because of her over-the-top rhetoric and Tourette syndrome-like rantings. Some on the left no doubt share her deranged views; others, of less fire and brimstone, have perhaps kept silent on her raging because they regard her media appearances in the vein of a useful idiot taking center stage.

But in recent weeks, she’s grown progressively more bizarre — dangerous, even.

There you have it, even the Democrats don’t want Waters on their team anymore. She should just take a hint and retire already.
