Kirsters Baish| Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey has become a household name over the last couple of years. He has recently left us with a lot of questions about former President Barack Obama’s Attorney General after saying in his new book that there is very damaging material involving Loretta Lynch and her part in the Hillary Clinton investigation which is still as he claims “unknown” to the rest of America.
The former FBI Director alluded towards the existence of secret information in his book, “A Higher Loyalty: Tuth, Lies and Leadership.” He claimed that if the information were to “become public” it would have put some “serious doubts” in people’s minds when it came to Loretta Lynch’s relationship with Hillary and Bill Clinton during the time of the Clinton email investigation.
Fox News delved into Comey’s book, explaining:
James Comey’s cryptic reference in his new book to “a development still unknown to the American public” involving then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the Hillary Clinton email probe is sparking furious speculation inside and outside the Beltway.
According to ABC News, Comey writes in “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership,” that he became the public face of the investigation partly because of the mysterious development which he felt could cast “serious doubt” on Lynch’s independence.
“Had it become public, the unverified material would undoubtedly have been used by political opponents to cast serious doubt on the attorney general’s independence in connection with the Clinton investigation,” Comey writes, according to ABC. He calls the material a “development still unknown to the American public to this day.”
Any kind of realization that Loretta Lynch could have been biased in favor of Hillary Clinton wouldn’t really come as much of a surprise, but what Comey is referring to is a total mystery. The only thing Comey is clear on is that the United States government became aware of this information due to a classified source towards the beginning of 2016. The source and the information remain classified.
People began to speculate that Lynch was working on some kind of interference to the email probe with Bill Clinton during the infamous tarmac meeting. A few days later, James Comey dismissed all charges against Clinton, even though he had called her handling of classified information “extremely careless.”
During an interview with NBC this past week, Loretta Lynch said that she and Bill only discussed “innocuous things” but acknowledged that her “speaking to the former president raised concerns in people’s minds about whether or not there was going to be any impact on the email investigation.”
In his book, Comey wrote, “Had it become public, the unverified material would undoubtedly have been used by political opponents to cast serious doubt on the attorney general’s independence in connection with the Clinton investigation.”
He continued on to state the information is “a development still unknown to the American public to this day.”
Although Comey hasn’t given up the information, a lot of people are starting to wonder if the document has to do with Lynch’s well-known tarmac meeting with former President Bill Clinton. This meeting took place just a few days prior to her Justice Department exonerating Hillary Clinton of any and all wrongdoing.
