Kirsters Baish| The Republican National Committee had Americans laughing on Friday when they released a new video ad, mocking New York Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her tons of recent interviews. The RNC ad draws attention to the fact that the Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee has painted her as their new poster child, or “the future of the Democratic Party.”
The Daily Wire reports that the ad displays the Democratic Socialist, who was the winner of the Democratic nomination of New York’s 14th Congressional district this past June. Ocasio-Cortez is seen making false statements regarding numerous different political issues.
The video footage of the Democratic Socialist in the ad are placed alongside a popular scene from the movie, “Billy Madison.” In the scene, the principal bashes the character played by Adam Sandler for giving a ridiculous response to a question he was asked.
The principal says to Billy Madison in the movie, “Mr. Madison, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
At the beginning, the ad declares Ocasio-Cortez, who is running for New York’s 14th congressional district as the Democratic nominee, the “future” of the Democratic Party.
The ad then goes on to feature some of Ocasio-Cortez’s most cringeworthy recent moments, including when she admitted she lacks sufficient knowledge to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and when she pledged to “flip this seat red in November”during a campaign stop in Kansas.
The video also reminds Americans of lies that the Democratic Socialist has told. She once claimed that our country’s unemployment rates were at an all-time low because “everyone has two jobs.” She also claimed that our country’s defense budget was granted an increase of $700 billion in 2017.
TheBlaze writes, “Spliced in between the Ocasio-Cortez interviews is a famous scene from “Billy Madison,” the 1995 movie featuring Adam Sandler, where Sandler’s character is chided by his principal for giving a silly answer to a question about the industrial revolution.”
