Kirsters Baish| We’ve seen White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders come up with some good comebacks for liberal journalists in the past. The media badgered Sanders in May after President Donald Trump made a comment about members of the violent MS-13 gang. The President stated, “You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals.” Sanders had to clarify what Trump meant when reporters insisted that he was referring to all illegal immigrants as “animals.” She responded to the claims by saying, “The president was very clearly referring to MS-13 gang members who enter the country illegally and whose deportations are hamstrung by our laws. This is one of the most vicious and deadly gangs that operates by the motto of rape, control and kill.”
“If the media and liberals want to defend MS-13, they’re more than welcome to,” she continued.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders has also had to deal with CNN’s go-to White House correspondent, Jim Acosta, who has bordered the line of verbally harassing both the White House Press Secretary as well as President Donald Trump during press events. There was one incident that took place in February when the CNN reporter drew attention to one of the President’s many tweets, which read, “Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation.”
Acosta questioned if the President’s Twitter message was referring to allegations of sexual misconduct that he was facing. The CNN reporter wrote, “Why is he seemingly defending Mr. Porter publicly? Is it because he has faced his own allegations? Is there some sensitivity there?”
Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated, “Look, as I just said, and I’ll repeat it again, the president and the entire administration take domestic violence very seriously, and believe all allegations need to be investigated thoroughly. He certainly supports the victims of domestic violence above all else, and believes that everyone should be treated fairly and with due process.”
Sanders aired the mainstream media out to dry on Monday when she mentioned their clearly biased reporting of Russia. She explained that she was not sure “why that is so hard for the media to write about,” The Daily Caller reported.
One reporter questioned Sanders, “The president has forcefully spoken out against Iran and North Korea. He said he would forcefully speak out against any threat. Russia’s interference is a threat to our democracy. Why would he not forcefully denounce that?”
To which Sanders calmly answered, “The president has been incredibly tough on Russia. He has brought it up directly to (Putin) in person every single time that they have met. He has put unprecedented sanctions and been extremely tough on Russia across a number of fronts, which we have addressed here it many times before. Frankly, I’m not sure why that is so hard for the media to write about.”
She went on, “We’ve repeated it time and time again. The policy that the president has been — since day one in office — has been extremely tough on Russia more so than any other country.”
The Republican National Committee stated that the Trump White House is doing everything in their power to hold Russia responsible for their actions.
The RNC explained, “The Trump Administration has implemented a wide array of sanctions and other punitive actions against Russia for their destabilizing actions and provocations against the U.S. and its allies. In the wake of Russian provocations, President Trump has exercised U.S. military power and worked to bolster U.S. allies in Europe.”
It doesn’t matter whether or not you believe that President Trump is being “tough enough” on Russia, anyone can see that Sarah Huckabee Sanders isn’t going to deal with the mainstream media’s ridiculously unfair coverage of Trump.
