Kirsters Baish| Why is it that liberals will constantly complain about everything President Trump does, but when one of their own decides to go and do something totally inappropriate and anti-American, they clam up? It’s become quite evident for anyone who pays attention to the news that California’s Democratic Governor, Jerry Brown, is a total fool. The left love to bash Trump over any pardon he makes, but recently Jerry Brown made the call to pardon someone who conservatives felt definitely should not have been pardoned.
This is far from the first thing that Brown has done to work to bring down the state of California. Just take a look a the crumbling roads, the horrific schooling systems, the growing population of homeless people, the outrageously high taxes, and the illegal immigrants flooding the streets. The state of California is in disrepair.
On top of all of these issues, Governor Brown is not a fan of Immigratons and Customs Enforcement. The person he just pardoned, in fact, was an anti-ICE activist… who was in the United States illegally.
From The Daily Wire:
Governor Jerry Brown has pardoned an anti-ICE activist facing deportation who helped advance the effort to turn California into a so-called “sanctuary state.”
Phal Sok was among three Cambodian refugees with criminal records who recently had their past crimes absolved by the state’s top executive. Although Sok has been lawfully present in this country since his arrival in the early 1980s, his rap sheet included three felony convictions that made him a deportation target.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the pardons “wipe the crimes off the California Department of Justice and FBI books.”
Basically, Brown just wants to keep illegals out of jail. In fact, Brown just set a record among pardons.
The Sacramento Bee reported on the anti-Ice activist’s pardon. They explained that Phal Sok came into the country when he was three months old. He lived in the country for 37 years. The Governor’s Office reports that Sok was convicted in 2000 in Los Angeles when he was took part in a robbery involving the use of a firearm. He spent 15 years in prison. In August of 2017, he was discharged. Governor Brown stated that Sok works at a nonprofit organization that is “dedicated to criminal justice reform.” He also stated that anyone who knows Sok would describe him as a “tireless advocate for immigrants, particularly refugee children and youth.” He also called Sok a “true American.”
It’s time to knock Jerry Brown out of politics entirely, because this kind of pardon is totally unacceptable.
