Kirsters Baish| This past Sunday, disgraced former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper claimed that former CIA Director John Brennan’s “rhetoric” is becoming a problem.
“John and his rhetoric have become an issue in and of itself,” Clapper claimed while appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
Clapper’s comment was a response to an op-ed piece that Brennan had written a few days beforehand for the New York Times. In the op-ed, Brennan claimed that Trump’s presidential campaign had colluded with Russia in 2016.
It seems that ever since it was announced that President Trump would be revoking his security clearance, Brennan has been fuming. His op-ed piece earned him some serious backlash. Even liberals were unhappy with the piece.
Republican Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr released a statement in which he bashed claims made by Brennan in the New York Times op-ed piece that the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia.
“Director Brennan’s recent statements purport to know as fact that the Trump campaign colluded with a foreign power. If Director Brennan’s statement is based on intelligence he received while still leading the CIA, why didn’t he include it in the Intelligence Community Assessment released in 2017?” Senator Burr explained in the statement.
Burr continued, “If his statement is based on intelligence he has seen since leaving office, it constitutes an intelligence breach. If he has some other personal knowledge of or evidence of collusion, it should be disclosed to the Special Counsel, not The New York Times.”
“If, however, Director Brennan’s statement is purely political and based on conjecture, the president has full authority to revoke his security clearance as head of the Executive Branch,” Senator Burr finished.
John Brennan has attacked President Trump numerous times via his Twitter account. One time, he even claimed that Trump’s joint summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland was “treasonous.”
The former CIA Director is losing it. His constant attacks on the Trump administration and his clear bias “prove he weaponized the intel agencies to target Donald Trump.”
Both James Clapper and John Brennan have perjured themselves.
Both men pushed the fabricated Trump “dossier.” Both are now panicking because the truth is coming out.
Take a look at the video below to see Clapper throw Brennan right under the bus:
