BREAKING: FBI Was Warned About Potential School Shooter Nikolas Cruz in September

Kirsters Baish| BuzzFeed news reported that in September of 2017 the FBI was made aware that a YouTube user named Nikolas Cruz had left a comment on a video about wishing to be a “professional school shooter.”

Ben Bennight, a YouTube user, had emailed the FBI tip-line when he saw a comment that was left by a user with the name “Nikolas Cruz.” The comment was on one of his videos. The comment from Cruz read, “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.”

Bennight resides in Mississippi. He explained that he “immediately” got in touch with the local FBI authorities. He had a meeting with FBI agents the next day. He explained to BuzzFeed, “That was the last I heard from them.”

After 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz was arrested yesterday for the murders of 17 people who died in the mass shooting in Parkland, FL, Bennight was contacted by the FBI.

BuzzFeed reported that Special Agent Ryan Furr left a voicemail that said the following: “I think we spoke with you in the past about a complaint that you made about someone making a comment on your YouTube channel. I just wanted to follow up with you on that and ask you a question with something that’s come up, if you wouldn’t mind giving me a ring.”

Bennight explains that he was then visited again by the FBI agents this past Wednesday. They questioned him as to if he knew Cruz. He told the agents that he did not know Cruz and they left.

There is no confirmation yet if the Nikolas Cruz who left the YouTube comment is the same Nikolas Cruz who was arrested after yesterday’s mass school shooting.
