Kirsters Baish| This past Tuesday evening, anti-Trump FBI lawyer Lisa Page and her lawyers made the announcement that she would be defying the Congressional subpoena that was dealt to her and would not be appearing in front of the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday for a closed-door interview.
Lisa Page was subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee to appear on Wednesday, but Page seems to have taken a page out of the book of Deep State operatives and feels that she is above the law.
Her lawyer tried to argue that she was not given ample time to prepare herself for the closed-door interview. Her counsel also claimed that she was not granted permission to look over requested documents while at the FBI building on Tuesday, however this has been proven to be false. Page and her team did, in fact, look over the documents.
Now, House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte put out a statement on Tuesday evening regarding Page.
He stated that it seems that Lisa Page, a “key witness,” is hiding something. He also claimed that Congress would be doing everything they can in order to get her testimony.
House Speaker Paul Ryan said on Wednesday the he would hold Lisa Page in contempt of Congress if she does not comply with the Congressional subpoena. Her lawyer struck back on Wednesday. She claimed that Congress is “bullying” Page into testifying.
Catherine Herridge of Fox News explained that GOP lawmakers might be preparing to force both Lisa Page and her lover/colleague Peter Strzok to appear together, in front of Congress on Capitol Hill.
“She [Lisa Page] should comply [with the subpoena] now before she’s held in contempt of Congress which could happen as soon as Friday,” Chairman Goodlatte stated.
Goodlatte also explained that Congress sent United States Marshals to Lisa Page’s house three separate times to reach her after she would not accept the subpoena.

Lisa Page had better compose herself and prepare to testify, because she will not be getting away with ignoring a Congressional subpoena. She is not above the law, despite what she claims or believes.
