Elder Patriot – Jon Taffer built a career by telling his clients things they didn’t necessarily want to hear. Later, he famously parlayed his blunt but accurate assessments in to a hit TV show called Bar Rescue.
Jon gets it. The messenger is secondary to the message. Anyone who has played for a winning sports team past Little League recognizes the fact that great coaches can be real SOB’s when they demand more from the athletes than the athletes believe they have to give.
Before anything we must remember that we are all Americans.
Taffer repeated that truth when he appeared on Fox and Friends this week to discuss President Trump.
Jon Taffer knows more about real economy then anyone i know| thinks Americas has been rescued!! https://t.co/e7bCSivpJF

When asked about the large number of Americans who still hold contempt for President Trump, Taffer was quick to express his bewilderment:
“Well, I don’t understand that. Is it the low unemployment numbers?
Is the fact that we have no North Korean missiles flying by, do they object to that?
“Do they object to the stock market?
Do they object to the deregulation and the fact that businesses are opening?
“Do they object to the fact that we have factories and manufacturing coming back?
“I’m struggling to find what they object to, honestly.
“He [Trump] does things that are having a positive impact on our society.
“We don’t always have to love the messenger to love the message.”
Before you dismiss Taffer’s words as those of a pro-Trump white man, recall for a moment the words of Tavis Smiley when Megyn Kelly asked him during the last year of the Obama presidency, “On the subject of race, are we better off today than seven years ago?”
It would be difficult to differentiate between Jon Taffer’s view of the economy at that time and Smiley’s as his response to Kelly revealed:
“On every leading economic issue, in the leading economic issues Black Americans have lost ground in every one of those leading categories”.
The Trump difference explains why record numbers of blacks are walking away from the Democrat Party but it also exposes a strain of elitism among #NeverTrump Republicans who are leaving the party to throw their support behind the Democrats’ plantation program.
I guess they just feel threatened by us pesky commoners wanting a better life.
