Nikki Haley Finally Reveals REAL Reason Why She Made the Stunning Decision to Abruptly Resign From UN Ambassador Position

In a shocking announcement this week, United Stated Ambassador to the United Nation Nikki Haley revealed that she would be stepping down. The announcement came during a press conference with the President, and immediately sent the media into a frenzy of speculation.

One Bloomberg White House Press Pool reporter actually tossed around the idea that Haley’s resignation had something to do with Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court, since the timing was similar.

The real reason for Haley’s resignation was revealed, however, during the press conference where Haley sat alongside President Trump.

She explained that she supported the term limit concept. The President explained that she came to him six months back saying that she was hoping to take a break, possibly at the “end of the year.”

President Trump called Haley someone who is “very special” to him. He also said that she is “someone who gets it.” He said of their time working together, “We’ve done a fantastic job together. We’ve solved a lot of problems, and we’re in the process of solving a lot of problems.”

Nikki Haley only had kind things to say about Trump. She called the opportunity “the honor of a lifetime” and thanked the President for appointing her to the position. “Now the United States is respected. Countries may not like what we do. But they know if we say something, we are going to follow it through. The U.S. is strong again, and the U.S. is strong in a way that should make all Americans very proud,” she said.

As she explained why she was taking a break from her role at the UN, she put to sleep any rumors that she might be preparing for a 2020 presidential run saying, “I can tell you I will be campaigning for this one” pointing toward Trump.

Fox News reports:

Haley was a fierce critic of U.N. mismanagement and bias against Israel and the U.S. She secured cuts to the U.S. contribution to the U.N. fund, and pulled the U.S. out of the U.N. Human Rights Council — calling it a “cesspool of political bias.” She also secured an arms embargo on South Sudan, a goal that had evaded the Obama administration.

A number of U.N. diplomats reacted with praise for the outgoing U.S. ambassador. Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Danny Danon thanked Haley in a statement “for standing with the truth without fear.”

“Thank you for representing the values common to Israel and the United States. Thank you for your support for the State of Israel, which helped lead to a change in Israel’s status in the UN,” he said in a statement. “Thank you for your close friendship and common paths. Wherever you are, you will continue to be a true friend of the State of Israel.”

“We will miss her. I worked with her two years and from the beginning it was a warm, personal relationship and Morocco will never forget her,” Moroccan Ambassador Omar Hilale told Fox News outside the U.N.
