Kirsters Baish| We found out on Monday that First Lady Melania Trump was hospitalized for a kidney condition. Fox News reported that Mrs. Trump is recovering after having had an embolization procedure done. After Monday’s procedure to treat what was described as a “benign kidney condition,” the White House released a statement about the incident. The announcement came shortly after word got out of former Senator Harry Reid having an operation after his pancreatic cancer spread.
The 48-year-old First Lady is expected to remain at the hospital, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, during the entire duration of this week, as explained in a statement by communications director Stephanie Grisham.
Many Americans were in total shock by the news of Mrs. Trump’s condition, as most of us were not aware that she even had a kidney condition in the first place. It was just one day prior to entering the hospital that Melania was wishing moms around the world a “Happy Mother’s Day” via Twitter.
The mainstream media didn’t wait to try and make things even worse for the Trump family by attempting to humiliate them. There were handfuls of comments claiming that Trump doesn’t care about Melania and didn’t make time to see her in the hospital.
The issue? These comments were made in total ignorance. President Trump didn’t post all over social media about visiting his wife in the hospital, he just went and visited her like a loving husband should do.
The Daily Caller reports:
President Trump made an unscheduled visit to check on First Lady Melania Trump in the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Trump’s visit was not on the official White House schedule, but he made time for his wife as she recovers from a minor surgery on her kidney. The White House pool reports that he left the White House just after 4:00 pm.
Gotta love it.
It’s pretty obvious that the media are the ones who should be humiliated in this case, not the Trumps.
Fox News reported further on Melania Trump’s kidney condition writing, “’This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful and there were no complications,’ the communications director, Stephanie Grisham, said in a statement Monday. ‘Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the duration of the week. The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.'”
Grisham explained to Fox News that Melania “is doing well. Doing well.” She did not comment on whether the procedure was scheduled ahead of time or not, however Vice President Mike Pence stated on Monday evening that the procedure had been “long-planned.”
