Whoops: McCabe’s Attorney Accidentally Throws Him Under The Bus

Elder Patriot – There’s an old legal aphorism that goes, “If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts. If you have the law on your side, pound the law. If you have neither on your side, pound the table.”

Fired F.B.I. Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s lawyer chose to pound the table following his client’s dismissal on Friday.  In his statement, attorney Michael Bromwich said:

“I have never before seen the type of rush to judgment — and rush to summary punishment — that we have witnessed in this case.  The result of this deplorable rush to judgment is to terminate Mr. McCabe before his long-anticipated retirement and deny him of the full pension and retirement benefits he would have otherwise earned through his 21 years of devoted service to the FBI and this country.”

“This concerted effort to accelerate the process in order to beat the ticking clock of his scheduled retirement violates any sense of decency and basic principles of fairness,” the statement continued. “It should make all federal government employees, who continue to work in an Administration that insults, debases, and abuses them, shudder in the knowledge that they could be next.”

Let’s play along with Bromwich and consider how this could have a chilling effect on honest federal employees.  It shouldn’t and it won’t.

Under Obama’s tyrannical regime Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Rice, and others regularly punished whistleblowers for speaking out.  They are now encouraged to come forward.

When it comes to other careerists who have abused the public trust that was placed in them, well that’s a different matter.  In fact, many of those who are guilty may be encouraged to come forward for their testimony in exchange for leniency in this regard.

Even Bromwich’s predicate for his criticism of the firing is nothing more than rhetoric:

“I have never before seen the type of rush to judgment — and rush to summary punishment — that we have witnessed in this case.

Rush to judgment?  McCabe’s wrongdoing has been going on since he refused to conduct even a semblance of a legitimate investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server as far back as March 3, 2015 and probably even longer.

The F.B.I. had been turned into a cesspool of corruption under former Manchurian President B. Hussein Obama’s reign.

The power clique – Holder, Lynch, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, Rice, et al – that ruled our intelligence community with an iron fist is now desperately trying to hold on to power but Friday’s firing of McCabe will open the door through which those previously silenced federal investigators can spread light on just how deep the corruption was.

The fact is losing his pension is the least of McCabe’s worries.  He’s facing a long, long prison term where he won’t really miss that pension.
